Vacation Planner

Save a trip you planned with ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini

You planned the trip in a chat. Vacation Planner turns that plan into a real trip you can keep and edit: stops with nights, day-by-day flights, stays and activities, a route bar and a map.

Connect Vacation Planner to your assistant once, then ask it to save the trip. It replies with a link. The trip opens as a preview first, with no sign-in, and you keep it in your account with one tap.

What your saved trip looks like

The same trip you planned in the chat, laid out so you can use it

Stops with nights

Every place on the trip in travel order, with how many nights you spend in each.

Day-by-day items

Flights, stays and activities on the days they happen, ready to move or change.

A route bar

The whole trip as one strip across the top, so you can see where each day falls.

A map

Your stops pinned on a map, so the shape of the trip is clear at a glance.

Connect Vacation Planner to your assistant

Every assistant uses the same address. Add it once.

https://vacation-planner.app/connect

ChatGPT

  1. In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Plugins, and choose Add custom MCP server.
  2. Paste https://vacation-planner.app/connect as the server URL and save.
  3. Start a new chat, type @, pick Vacation Planner, and say “save this trip”.

If you find Vacation Planner in ChatGPT’s plugin directory, adding it from there works the same way.

Claude

  1. In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it Vacation Planner and paste https://vacation-planner.app/connect. No authentication is needed.
  3. In a chat, make sure Vacation Planner is switched on in the tools menu, then say “save this trip”.

Gemini

  1. Where your Gemini account offers custom apps, open Settings, then Connected apps, and add a custom app.
  2. Use the same address: https://vacation-planner.app/connect.
  3. In a chat, mention @Vacation Planner and ask it to save the trip.

Custom apps are not available on every Gemini account yet. If you do not see the option, your account does not offer it.

What to say to your assistant

Once Vacation Planner is connected, any of these will save the trip you planned

  • “I planned a trip, where can I save it?”
  • “Save this trip to Vacation Planner.”
  • “Save this itinerary somewhere I can find it later.”
  • “I want this as a day-by-day calendar I can edit.”
  • “Put this on a map for me.”
  • “Store this plan so I can open it on my phone.”
  • “We said Rome 3 nights, Florence 2, Bologna 2, Venice 3 — save that.”

The assistant sends the trip and gives you a link. Open it to see the preview, check the stops and days, and tap Keep this trip to save it to your account.

What is stored

Only the trip, never the conversation

When your assistant saves a trip, Vacation Planner receives only the itinerary it sends: the trip’s name, dates, stops and day-by-day items, plus the assistant’s name and version. We never receive your conversation, and the connector does not accept booking references or passport numbers. Your network address is stored only in hashed form, to prevent abuse. A trip nobody keeps is deleted 30 days after it was sent. The full details are in section 2.3 of our Privacy Policy.

Questions about saving a trip

What people ask before they connect Vacation Planner

Can I edit the trip after saving it?

Yes. Once you keep the trip it is yours to edit in Vacation Planner: change the stops and nights, move things between days, and add flights, stays and activities as you book them. Until you keep it, the assistant can still update the draft if you ask it to change the plan. After you keep it, changes happen in Vacation Planner.

Do I need an account?

Not to look. The link the assistant gives you opens a preview of the trip without signing in. To keep it, you sign in or create an account (Google or email), and the trip is saved to it with one tap.

Which assistants work with Vacation Planner?

ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, using the connector address https://vacation-planner.app/connect. Any other assistant that can connect to an MCP server can use the same address.

Is my chat stored?

No. Vacation Planner receives only the itinerary the assistant sends: the trip's name, dates, stops and day-by-day items. It never receives your conversation. A trip nobody keeps is deleted 30 days after it was sent.

How long does the trip link work?

Thirty days. If you have not kept the trip by then, the draft is deleted. Ask the assistant to save the trip again and it gives you a fresh link.

Need help?

We read every message

If the assistant cannot find Vacation Planner, the link does not open, or a trip saved wrong, email [email protected] with the assistant you used and, if you have it, the trip link. We can also delete a saved draft for you before its 30 days are up.

Your trips, all in one place

Every trip you keep sits on one calendar for the year, with its route, map and bookings.
